Using this website

accesspath.dev is a static marketing and documentation site for the AccessPath project. You're free to browse it, link to it, and use the "Try it on this page" demo to preview the widget's controls.

Using the AccessPath software

AccessPath — the widget itself, and its core, embed, React, and Angular packages — is licensed under the MIT License. In short: you may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, and sublicense it, including for commercial projects, as long as the original copyright and license notice are kept with any copy of the software.

No warranty

AccessPath is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The authors and copyright holders are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from its use.

Not a compliance guarantee

AccessPath gives visitors real, user-controlled tools to adjust how a page looks and behaves for them. It is not automated remediation, and installing it does not by itself make a site WCAG- or ADA-compliant. Genuine accessibility still starts with semantic HTML, sound information architecture, and inclusive design in the underlying site — AccessPath is a layer on top of that work, not a substitute for it.

Self-hosted, your responsibility

Because AccessPath is self-hosted, each site that installs it runs its own copy of the code, under its own control. We have no involvement in, and no responsibility for, how any individual site configures or uses it.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the project evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

AccessPath is a community project without a formal support channel yet. Once the repository is public, the best place to ask will be a GitHub issue.
